This project will help provide my classroom with materials that will inspire my kindergarten babies to have fun learning to read. These wonderful materials will be used mostly during my Literacy block. Many of these materials and supplies will be used when I am working with the whole group like the document camera as well as in my small group instruction time like my Literacy centers/stations. The camera will help me to make books a What I am asking for will help my students with their ability to recognize letters, their letter-sound identification skills, their word building skills, reading words, and their comprehension skills. I am hoping to give my students the opportunity to learn and play at the same time, and I believe that the supplies will permit me to do so. I feel that these materials and supplies will foster my students' independence since I will only need to guide them during center time, and independence is so important in kindergarten. The supplies and materials that I am asking for will enable my students to grow academically as well emotionally and socially since it enables my students to take their learning into their own hands by working independently or by working with their peers to retain new information. This project has the possibility to help my classroom to become a place where my students can explore and acquire new knowledge through fun amazing experiences. For many of my students, this is their first real experience in a school setting, so I am doing everything I possibly can to make sure this first experience is a positive one. First impressions are everything, and if students' first experiences with the school are positive, I believe it will spark a love for learning to empower them to be successful.
