This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Twice weekly, we meet for an extra block aimed at increasing student's reading and writing skills. This year, we are expanding this block beyond independent reading to instead create different mini courses with the goal of helping students to really engage with what they're reading. I'd like to have my mini-course focus on a series that I loved in middle school - The Hunger Games!
With these books, I can ensure that all students have a physical copy of the book.
I look forward to sharing these stories with them.
