Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the library we are looking to create a flexible and independent learning environment. We want our students to complete activities in a way that fits their learning preferences and needs.

Allow our students to take ownership over their space.

The materials in this project will encourage independence and creativity. The lap desk racks in this project will safely stack our lap desks so that students can choose their seats on their own. They will be able to take out and put away their lap desks independently. Our students often comment that they want to accurately represent themselves in their drawings. So, getting skin tone crayons will encourage that self expression. Having a classroom vacuum will not only help keep our classroom clean and also invite our students to actively participate in our classroom culture and take responsibility for any messes that arise. Other materials will help to create activities that are individualized and allow our children to feel a sense of choice when completing work during class r
