Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During center time, my students are learning independently thru play. However, it's hard to do so with limited supplies and not enough to share with all students.
For this project, I am requesting for new hands-on materials like Play-Doh and kinetic sand for my students to use during center time.
With the Play-Doh and kinetic sand, students can work on building their fine motor skills as well as using them to build the letters, use it for counting, imaginary play and much more. With the building toys, students can sort by colors and shape or they can build things using their imagination. The storage containers will be used for storing the materials to keep them organized. We will use the binders and plastic sheet covers to store mats as a guideline for students to use. Students will be able to use the sidewalk chalks to write and draw while we are outside for outdoor learning. All of these materials will help my students during independent learning time!
