My Project

Dear Generous and Invaluable Donors,

I am writing to you today as a 4th and 5th grade special education teacher in a rural high-poverty school district.

I am deeply committed to providing my students with the best possible learning environment, and I am reaching out to request assistance in acquiring two essential resources that would significantly enhance their educational experience: new shelving and a replacement clock.

Currently, our classroom is lacking adequate shelving to properly organize our books and independent learning activities. I believe that investing in new shelving would be a transformative step towards fostering a greater love of reading and promoting independent learning among my students. By having an organized and appealing display of books, along with easily accessible learning centers, my students will be more likely to engage with the material and develop a lifelong love of reading. Well-organized shelving will also allow me to curate activities that cater to varied learning styles and abilities, fostering a more personalized and effective learning environment.

In addition to shelving, our classroom recently experienced a setback with the breakage of our classroom clock. A functioning clock is crucial for teaching time management skills and helping students stay on track throughout the day. I have identified a clock with both digital and analog faces that would be perfect for our classroom. This clock would not only allow my students to tell time effectively but also reinforce their instruction in reading an analog clock, bridging practical skills with classroom learning.

Thank you for your time and dedication to supporting education.

Sincerely,

Ms Kendle
