My Students

I teach 52 energetic and curious 7 year-olds. We live in a small, rural town in southwestern Utah surrounded by geologic wonders and fragile desert habitat. Opportunities for jobs are limited here, but the natural resources are endless.

These kids grow up outdoors, camping, fishing, and exploring their desert backyard.

They are inspired by this fascinating landscape and love to learn about their world and their environment. Science is their favorite subject by far.

My students love their small town and their immense backyard.

My Project

These hands on centers will allow my students to independently practice what they have learned in class.

These centers are fun, engaging, self-correcting activities for growth.

My students learn math in Spanish, so these centers are especially important for them to practice in English. Dry erase markers allow for students to complete activities in a new and fun way, then erase them for others to use. This saves paper and resources.

Finally, colored pencils and multicultural markers will enhance their creativity and allow them to see themselves in their artwork.
