This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher, I constantly strive to engage and inspire my students. However, working in a low-income community where supplies are scarce, I often find myself purchasing most of what we need in the classroom. This includes boxes of Kleenex, paper towels, tape, glue sticks, and baby wipes. The lack of these basic supplies not only hampers our daily activities, but, also affects the learning environment for my students. For instance, we use baby wipes daily to wipe down their desks and whiteboards, ensuring a clean and safe space for learning. The baby wipes help keep student areas clean without exposing them to the harsh chemicals found in Chlorox. However, the cost of purchasing enough supplies for an entire class of 40 students is a significant burden. That's why I am reaching out to you, hoping for your generous donations to help fund these items. Your support, no matter how small, would make a world of difference to us.
The desks in my classroom do not have storage; therefore, using chair covers with pockets would be an excellent way for students to have everything they need within arm's reach.
They can place their workbooks, whiteboards, and other necessary items in the chair pocket so their desk is clear and usable. Thank you so much for considering my request. Your generosity will help make a real difference in the lives of my students.
