Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Everyday my students face challenges and difficulties other students will never face or understand.

The students I teach have Autism.

They are in a self contained class so they can learn simple skills such as sitting and working independently on a variety of skills. They also need a simplified curriculum where skills are broken down in order to teach them and the students are given multiple opportunities to practice skills.

My Project

The students need these file folder books. This will allow them to receive work that is not only new and interesting but is individualized so the student can practice the skills they have recently learned. The file folders will be given during independent work when the students are also learning how to sit and work without the assistance of an adult.

These books will allow me to reach all the students and individualize their learning even further.

It will also provide new and exciting new tasks that the students are excited to complete on their own! This will increase their confidence and independence!
