This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our first-grade rooms our students will be learning about how ducks grow and develop. After the ducks hatch the children will learn how to feed and care for the ducks so that they grow strong. They will learn about what they need to survive for when we release them on a family farm. Our children do not have the opportunities to have hands on experiences like this in their daily lives. The opportunity to hatch the ducks will allow the children to make observations, learn how things grow and develop while teaching the students responsibility for the life of the animals. The materials I am requesting will allow for the use to incubate the ducks and support observations throughout the incubation period.
