Increasing STEAM Thinking at the Tech Museum of Innovation
My students need a day guaranteed to immerse them in scientific learning and reinforcing national and state standards, by exploring many hands-on activities at the Tech Museum of Innovation.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are intelligent, highly motivated, and have goals of being scientists and engineers like many of their parents.
Our school is located near the Silicon Valley, so math and science are very important to our parents and students.
The Science Fair is a big deal at our school. It would be nice to do something science-related that was more fun and engaging than just another project. It would be nice for the students to see how fun science can be.
My Project
This field trip will provide students with an IMAX experience and interactive and exciting exhibits that encourage STEAM thinking and skills. Students will learn about science and technology in a fun setting and hopefully be inspired to pursue careers in these fields. The enthusiasm of the friendly and patient staff encourages the students to explore and use their imaginations while learning about concepts we have discussed in our classroom. The new exhibit on the Body Worlds will enrich the studies on body systems and cells that we study extensively in 6th grade. This experience will enhance my students' appreciation of the sciences.
