It has already come to great use. For example, students watched a video on ecosystems and then answered questions about the concepts through an interactive quiz that is part of the program. We have also used BrainPOP during a social studies unit on American Indians. Students learned about different Native American cultures and the high-quality visuals contained in the BrainPOP videos are particularly helpful to visual learners and those acquiring English as a second language. \r\n\r\nThe videos on ecosystems and American Indians were a great start. However, soon we will be exploring many more topics. \r\n\r\nYour donation is greatly appreciated and we can't thank you enough! It is so convenient to have such a great printer in the classroom! I don't remember what it is like to not have a printer, LOL!\r\n\r\nThis particular machine has a huge ink tank. My first graders love my classroom because it is full of amazing games, puzzles, art supplies, and books. This project allowed me to better organize the supplies and books so my children more easily accessed them.The colorful book tubs allowed me to organize my books by genres and interest. Each day when children had quiet reading and partner reading time, they quickly and easily chose a book from the tubs. The banker's boxes now hold reading curriculum and helped me tidy up the classroom. The children love grabbing the all-in-one desk caddies full of gel pens and colorful Flair markers during writing time. This has been such a great way to organize the headsets and obviously get them working on their Chromebook successfully. Each student has a cubby, a.k.a. shoe slot, with their PE number on it. They loved being creative and artistic using acrylic paints. \r\n\r\nPainting a beautiful sunset of a tropical beach on canvas was a highlight. Using this medium on real canvas gave them a sense that their own art and creativity are important. They also felt like real artists. Their masterpieces were very special and provided a lovely gift for Fathers' Day. The art paper was used for directed drawings and water color paintings, which they thoroughly enjoyed doing. \r\n\r\n My students always love the opportunity to be artists. Much of the paint, paint pans, and brushes will be used for future artistic creations. Thank you very much for supporting this project.
