My Project

Hello, my name is Wendy, and I am a Reading Interventionist. I am requesting concrete teaching tubs to help the students in my building become more fluent readers. The goal is to have actual items that students are able to identify, sort, and increase their language around the items based on their phonics needs.

I am also asking for magnetic sentence strips.

I am in a small space in my building and the magnetic sentence strips will all me to model correct letter formation in when we are writing without having to draw the lines each time I need them during my lessons.

My students are special because they are reading below the expected reading level for their grade level. Our building is a Title I site, which means 65% of our student body receives free or reduced lunch. I believe these items will help my students make the needed gains for them to become fluent readers.
