Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them flexible learning spaces to collaborate and learn. Teachers will be able to offer stronger monitoring of progress, struggles and offer feedback through the digital lessons and instructional processes.

With advent of immersion reading tool on some digital curriculum for math, reading and science, learning with tablets will support my students who struggle to read or pronounce new words.

The products will also help to increase student interest in reading with supporting visual animations and cues.

Our school uses "Epic" reading curriculum material to support reading. We also use Zearn Math to support independent and guided learning sessions. Students enjoy reading from tablets due to its handy, less working spaces and with extended battery life. Students are highly motivated to stay more engaged and make more learning choices.

The tablets are handy and will allow students to stay in comfortable spaces to do extended reading and respond to follow-up check for understanding. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that that struggles to stay focus in stationary positions for some extended time. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.

The apple pencil provides the versatility of writing on the tablets while casting onto the smartboard. Teachers can easily take digital attendance, checking boxes, drag and drawing instructional illustrations with the pencil.

I hope these material will improve our classroom learning culture to match or catch up with modern educational technology experiences.
