This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
This campaign is to help increase the usage of technology by allowing me the opportunity to be more mobile, technologically advanced, and interactive with my students, especially during small group sessions. I want to create a truly immersive and engaging classroom environment by eliminating the need for me to access and utilize multiple apps on my desktop computer for differentiated learning.
With iPads, I will spend less time behind the desk for small tasks including taking attendance and can be more productive in delivering instruction, especially during small group instruction.
Students will be able to have a more differentiated level of instruction and engagement, as the ELL/ESL students will be able to work on vocabulary assignments that will improve their language and understanding. Students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will be able to work on assignments that are on their level of understanding. As a benefit, I can effectively monitor the classroom progress in real-time, adding and removing students from small groups without much interruption.
iPads will allow me to have access to my most trusted applications, notes, and even attendance, at the palm of my hands. iPads will increase the potential for bell-to-bell learning for my students by allowing the me to be able to walk around and pull up individual student progress, advance slide presentations while working with students, and even differentiate learning in real-time at the student's desk rather than having to ask the students to come to the my desk.
