This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The IPAD mini will be used with translation tools to allow real-time communication between families who are new to our school and do not speak English as their first language. The IPAD will be used with translation services to accommodate the needs of our families who speak multiple languages to access the services needed to support their students.

The goal of the technology is to allow families to have live conversations with teachers, registrars, and administration and ensure that their communication needs are met; while also allowing all stakeholders involved in their student's success to be clearly understood.

The goal of this project is to ensure that communication is done without language barriers.

Our students represent over 20 countries as their country of origin and our families bring with them unique cultures that make our school a special place to be. Language should never be a barrier to student support or student success.
