This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have new mathematical software, but as the instructor, I do not have a computer that can project the software for the whole class to be involved.
I served underprivileged students who do not have access to the resources that they need.
Unfortunately, they have to struggle with innumerable amount of issues related to poverty and growing up in today's times. As an educator, I struggle to meet the educational and emotional needs of over 30 students.
My Project
If I am able to get a computer that I can use to project learning software, the entire class will be engaged. Right now only a couple of students have access to the computers at a time, but with this laptop I will be able to play mathematical games to keep the students focused.
Our school does not have enough money to provide whiteboard markers to each student.
If given the opportunity to have access to this resource I will be able to quickly determine what each student's misconceptions are almost simultaneously. This will ultimately lead to increase academic success.
