Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love to teach math and watch students learn! However, students’ motivation can be seen to be like a roller coaster. A teacher’s presence and push can only go so far. In my 7th grade classroom due to the pandemic the average math skill is 5th grade. To help bridge the gap in this issue I have an hour-long class period that is called intervention. In this period students pass lessons in their grade level to help them get closure to their grade level. Each time they pass a lesson thy are given a treat. I have been doing this for some time and the student motivation and passing lessons have increased so much. My shelfs have become bare and need help replenishing the motivation. Please help restock the motivation!!
