My Students

Help my students increase their range! Because we do not have an 88 key piano, my students are not able to find their exact voice range or experience a true accompaniment.

We are a title 1 charter high school of approximately 650 students.

The music department has steadily grown in the past couple of years to involve over 100 students in its program. My students are always eager and open to learning new repertoire and work hard to hone their skills. They perform concerts in the school and for the community.

My Project

My students and I have been using a small, old keyboard I brought from home in all of our music classes and concerts. With a "real" keyboard, my students will be able to experience a true accompaniment for the first time ever. Additionally, students will use the keyboard as a tool for composition projects, the school musical, and piano skills.

For many of my students, it is their first experience in a music class.

In order for them to continue to grow and meet new challenges as musicians, please help us in support of this project.
