My Students
I teach first grade and I love it! My students are full of energy every second of the day. They love school, their families and pretty much everything. They share whatever is on their minds and tell you how it is - no matter how good or bad- completely honest and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The first graders are always eager to learn.
They absorb information like a sponge. Unfortunately, the academically disadvantaged population of our school is 67% which makes the home life for many of my students inconsistent and unstable. A school is a place for them to learn and grow, and that is what I would like to enhance in their lives for them.
My Project
My classroom has a variety of learning needs, from below grade level learners to students who have skill beyond 1st grade. By integratinging Chromebooks into my classroom each student will be able to learn the skills and strategies needed to be successful academically.
There is a need for a variety of teaching methods and tools such as Chromebooks to be used in classrooms today.
The diversity of students and how they learn has grown greater as well as the educational expectations placed upon them. I would like to incorportate Chromebooks into my first grade classroom to accommodate the needs of each student, as well as enhance their creativity and individual strengths.
