My Students
I teach 27 students in a suburban neighborhood where at least one-third of the population comes from poverty. My students love to learn. They come in every day excited and ready for whatever comes their way. Watching them grow and learn is what makes my job worth it everyday. They love to use technology in the classroom. Learning this way makes it fun and engaging for them. Everyday when they come in, their first question is “What are we learning today?” I love their love for learning!
My Project
Our school is currently a Bring Your Own Device school. This limits the amount of technology supplied by the school in hopes that students will bring their own. However, many students do not have access to or cannot afford to have a device to bring to school. This limits what we can do in the classroom. My students would use these tablets to help become 21st century learners. We would use them to incorporate technology into our classroom on a daily basis. Having devices in the classroom allows ALL students to have the tools and resources they need to be successful in the 21st century world we live in today.
