My Project

I love using books in my elementary classroom. I use various books as sound stories, centers, and simple reading time at the end of class. My students enjoy using their knowledge from other core subjects in the music room, and it certainly makes learning exciting and fun! While the younger students enjoy the stories more, older students can certainly benefit from their use.

Incorporating ELA, Math, and other core subjects into my music curriculum is something I am very passionate about.

I love teaching history in music, significant musical ideas, and the emphasis of music around the world through stories. Helping students relate their core subject work to the music room is a great connection!
