This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new 1st grade teacher, I would like to create a classroom library that surrounds students with diverse and inclusive stories to help them understand the world they live in. This project will also support their social and emotional growth through the use of these books.

These books will allow my students to embrace diversity and inclusion.

My students are currently in a space where they are eager and excited to read more. My students love to read new books that they can relate to! It is important to provide students with access and opportunities to explore the reading world!
