Inclusive Writing!

Help me give my students technology they need to produce written work like their peers! Clicker Writer will offer them the opportunity to be independent in the classroom to complete written work and actively participate in their learning!

My Project

My students were fortunate enough to participate in a trial of Clicker Writer - an inclusive typing program - by CrickSoft. Through this trial, my students were able to independently write a story for the first time ever! They were proud to pull out their iPads and type a story just like their peers were doing - which is something they have never been able to do in their school careers! The Clicker Writer app will be utilized with my students in grades kindergarten through 4th grade and will allow them to complete written work at an independent level.

The goal of this project is to provide the opportunity of inclusive writing for my students, and to allow them independence in their classroom work.

This project will provide a dozen 3 year subscriptions to the Clicker Writer app, Clicker Books, and Clicker Talk. In addition, the project will include a training session for staff so they are able to successfully guide students to their independence! The subscriptions are transferrable between students, so if one student makes the gains for alternate writing, we can utilize the subscription with another student in the future.

Being independent and included in classroom work is the ultimate goal for my students! By having access to Clicker Writer, they can achieve that goal!
