Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our high schools students are balancing school course loads, extracurricular engagements, work commitments, and college preparatory work. The executive functioning demands are taxing, and our students would greatly benefit from classroom systems that allow them to systemize their workloads and time structures. Across our classrooms, we are interested in pedagogical design that promotes student autonomy, and are seeking tools to support that growth!
By supporting students with visual aids, color coding, visual timers, and other organizational and time management tools and academic supports, my aim is to help students balance the cognitive demands placed upon them and take ownership over their own learning.
