Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am reaching out to request assistance in acquiring new books for our school library. These include titles that we currently do not have or that are in very poor condition. Many of the requested books are bilingual or in Spanish, which is particularly important for supporting our newcomer students.
Some of the series we are requesting include Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Pig the Pug, El Hombre Perro, Pet the Cat, and Fly Guy.
Having books in students’ native languages fosters a welcoming environment, helps them feel valued, and ensures they have access to the same high-quality reading materials as their English-speaking peers. By providing these resources, we can create a unified library collection that celebrates diversity and supports all learners.
Your help in obtaining these books would make a meaningful difference for our students and their library experience.
