I love teaching theatre to my students! One of the tools we use in our beginning theatre classes is puppetry. We use this to as a way to use our voices to create characters. My classroom is diverse and I would love to create more inclusivity in my classroom!
Many of the puppets available in the past were animals but how great would it be to offer puppets with a variety of different races, ethnicities, backgrounds, etc puppets to showcase diversity and create a more inclusive classroom!
The ability for my students to create scripts and showcase all kinds of stories would develop more self respect and understanding of others.
