This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are looking to start a Unified Robotics Club at our school but are in need of LEGO Education Spike Kits to get started. Currently, our high school has very few options for students to explore STEM related paths through extra curricular activities. These LEGO Education Robotic kits would allow us to fill this need. Our students are hard working, creative, and seeking more opportunities to deepen their learning and exposure to STEM.
Unified Robotics Club would allow our school to provide more inclusive after school opportunities for students who receive special education services.
This would also benefit general education students and provide mentoring and leadership opportunities.
The goal would be for students to collaborate with one another to brainstorm ideas, prototype, build and learn to code. Students would apply their learning in science and math and work on developing good sportsmanship through friendly competitions.
Please help us provide this enriching opportunity for our students.
