My Project

As the school year wraps up, I am just focused on all the learning and reading I want to do with students next year.

Despite the constant attack, we know that creating bookshelves that represent the diversity of human experience is crucial for creating students who will succeed.

New, welcoming books on fresh new shelves will help create the welcoming learning environment that will surely put a smile on their faces! This project includes many books by poets of color. We will use these poems to both help us understand our world, but also as model texts for students to write their own poetry. Your gift means so much to my students and will have a lasting impact on them this school year.
