This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over this last year, we have been actively working towards adding more inclusive books to our school library. Our desire to bring books that represent our students and the world outside of the walls of their classrooms helped fuel the motivation to write grant after grant.

We believe that books are the windows and mirrors into souls.

We hope that continually providing more opportunities for students to connect with inclusive books will also offer inspiration when creating art in different mediums.

Your donation will provide the tools for our students to create art to showcase both their new understandings and wonderings they've made from the books they have read.
