Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These board games, kinetic sand, and other hands-on activities will support our Best Buddies program for a wonderful group of students from all backgrounds and ability levels. They meet to share experiences, and adventures, and have fun. They learn from one another to strengthen their communication skills. Our students learn and practice social skills. With their friends, they practice emotional regulation too. Everyone has feelings, so we need to respect them in others. This program helps the students develop self-esteem and independence. It is amazing when a young person can be proud of their own achievement!
