In our class "Fair isn't everybody getting the same thing...Fair is everybody getting what they need in order to be successful." Our Kindergarten Inclusion class consists of 8 girls and 11 boys. Our students are beautifully diverse, a collection of varying academic and social abilities from different ethnic backgrounds. Their diversity is crucial in their educational experience and they are always learning from one another.
Our students are always amazing us with their inquisitiveness, creativity and ability to work well together, in groups, pairs and triads.
They are super readers, making incredible progress in decoding, memorizing sight words and comprehension. We are always impressed by the ability of our students to think outside the box to extend the literature.
Our students absolutely love Legos. We have some already that were donated and the students want to use them every day. These new ones are even brighter and more colorful, the students will be so excited to get them and we are excited to see their creativity soar!
We need alternate ways to introduce small group instruction to the students and what better way than a wipe-off tabletop magnetic wipe off board?
The opportunities are endless for learning using these boards. Finally, sometimes are students need to be assessed individually. In a classroom that promotes interactive learning, it is hard for students to keep their eyes off other students' work. The dividers will help them do that without constant reminders from us.
