My Project

My students live in an area where the majority live in or under the federal poverty level in the mountains of rural Western North Carolina. We have an incredible district of staff who seek grants to help fill the gaps for resources, but this is an additional effort to anticipate learning opportunities for my students by having materials such as safety glasses, eyedroppers for liquids, clipboards for on the go learning/note taking, and ink to have colorful infographics available to students to aid in learning—especially in the STEM field. These materials will impact 45 students this school year, and many more in the upcoming years!
