My Students

I teach at a kindergarten through 5th grade school in a small, rural farming community in Illinois. We have a large population of migrant students, as well as low income families. We try to provide a rigorous academic education, but also provide fun and exciting learning opportunities.

Our students are a unique, fun, and creative group of kiddos that work hard and aim to please.

They enjoy working together, using technology, and have a strong love of learning. We try to provide them a strong, positive learning environment to inspire them and help them excel and succeed.

My Project

Instead of snacks, I hope to fill a vending machine with books for our entire school to be able to use and enjoy. The vending machine would be a great way to encourage reading and motivate learners! Inchy's Bookworm Vending Machine will be stocked with new and fresh books that any student will be able to earn and enjoy. Students would be able to earn golden tokens from their teachers by demonstrating positive behavior. They can then use this token as a prize to get a book from the book vending machine!

The Bookworm Vending Machine, created by Global Vending Group, will promote literacy by dispensing literary "snacks" to kids as a reward for displaying good character.

This machine has a custom coin mechanism designed for golden tokens that the students will earn. With this addition to our school, I believe students will be motivated to make positive choices.

Our school is full of well behaved students who we would love to reward with a trip to the book vending machine! Please help me make my dream a reality.
