This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have very big hearts and truly make do with what they have. For some, school is their safe haven from extremely poverty-stricken and violent homes. My students are in a very low-income community. They are kind and loving but may not get all the things they need. I have really gotten to know these students in our building and their families very well. I have already learned that I have children who come from needy families. Some of my children come from split families where they may or may not see one or both parents. I am very lucky to be able to touch these kiddos' lives. They are very creative and love to be able to explore their learning world through my classroom.
Each child in the class has his or her own unique personality that has really brought our community together.
They are very creative and are starting to really enjoy the academic world and are improving every day.
My Project
In this project I am requesting envelopes to help assist in sending things to my students. We know the students are going remote until November and I want to be able to send them things through the mail. Some of the things I would send would be small incentives for great performance or additional work that needs to be sent.
Incentives are very motivating for young children and doing remote they need this to continue to love school they would in person.
I have add stickers, bracelets and certificates to be able to give the students a little pick me up. I also think being able to get mail on their birthdays would be very exciting for them. Please help me motivate my students properly.
