Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project would incentivize my students to make better and more positive decisions regarding their attendance, academics, and behavior.
Students have 13 years at a good education-- and the high needs students that I work with need more than a watchful eye to make the best use of their time here.
This monetary incentive for positive decision making will steer them in the right direction.
I will create a behavior program for students based on a lottery system. Completing a credit recovery course, a week of perfect attendance, passing more than 50% of their classes for the quarter, and a week of no discipline incidents will earn the students a ticket into the biweekly raffle. If their name is drawn, they will have their choice of a prize.
