Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are learning in two languages as part of our school dual language program. For most students, their journey to become bilingual and biliterate starts in my classroom.

This project is to support all of my students with incentives to encourage positive behavior in our classroom and school and to be persistent when things are challenging.

Recently, we had a kindness challenge and it was amazing to see students understand how their behavior has an impact on peers and our classroom community. I want to continue my students to stay engage in their learning and also to support their social emotional learning throughout the day. Also, I want my student to know that is important to keep trying, to ask for help and to stay focus on their task or goals.

These incentives such as waterproof stickers could be earn and applied to their water bottles. Mini stamps, small fidgets, and pencils will help students stay motivated to use them at home when working on their assignments. My goal is for my students to feel and be part of our classroom community and see how their interactions in and out of our classroom can have a positive impact on our classroom and school climate.
