Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I need your help with purchasing incentives for my library kiddos. High 5 through 5th grade come to visit me once a week to check out books. They have done an amazing job keeping the library clean, organized, and are taking good care of our books.

My goal is to show my appreciation to my students for seeing the value of our library, books, and also for being responsible students.

My students are returning their books on time and showing that they are responsible young people who can borrow, share, and return our books. This should be rewarded!

My students are special because of the diversity in each classroom. All of my students enter the classroom with different interests and reading levels, but they all share the same love for reading. Given our small book budgets, it is important to retain the collection we have, and students are helping to support the growth of our library by returning and caring for our books each week.

The wipes are to help keep my classroom tables clean since the entire school comes to visit my space weekly at both sites. I am working hard to limit the germs and spread of illnesses during this tough winter season. Thank you for your support!
