My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I have several students that struggle with learning disabilities. I am looking to provide my students with every opportunity for success! My students deserve the best! They just need materials that suit their variety of learning differences. We all learn differently and need a variety of materials to do so. Thank you for helping our class!

My Project

My students love to be rewarded and it also increases class participation. Rewarding students makes them eager to learn and promotes participation. With a positive classroom environment, students are motivated to make good choices in order to earn candy and rewards, which instantly increases instructional time.

Each student deserves a piece of candy for his or her good work or improvement.

Students will receive candy for improving their grade in the class or on a quiz/test. This will help hone in on math skills as we try to prepare our students for the real world! They will be rewarded also for improving attendance and participating in class. This is a tiny reward but it works. Students have their favorite candy/snack which is, for example, chocolate and hershey kisses. All these sweet goodies help students to stay motivated!
