Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an exceptional class of 30+ students who are not only eager to learn, but eager to encourage one another in a positive way.

My students earn points through out the week on reward charts, they then are able to spend their points in my classroom store.

I like to have a good variety of incentives for them to choose from, such as stickers to modeling clay, and various things that that they helped select such as the hilarious mini finger hands.

My students this year are also a very creative group, and I would like to reward them with a few surprise classroom crafting projects this year. I am asking for rocks to paint, canvases to do a “Bob Ross” type paint class. I have asked for a couple larger quantities due to my large class size this year. I find that by doing these projects once a quarter brings the class closer together as we all try to be creative.

I am also asking for whisper phones so some of my struggling readers can hear themselves reading without feeling embarrassed. I am finally asking for a classroom microphone, not necessarily just for me, but for my students. I have several “soft talkers” with incredible ideas and I would like for everyone to be able to hear them. It also would help me on the days I lose my voice.
