My Project
This equipment is for the first iteration of video production in our middle school! We are strictly a no phone school, and I would like our students to learn tools of the video production trade. Cameras play a crucial role in effectively teaching students how to prepare for a career in professional film by providing hands-on experience and fostering creativity. Through practical filming projects, students can explore storytelling techniques, cinematography, and editing, allowing them to engage deeply with the material. This immersive approach not only enhances their technical skills but also cultivates a collaborative social environment where they can share ideas, critique each other's work, and learn from diverse perspectives. As they work together on film projects, students develop essential teamwork and communication skills, preparing them for the collaborative nature of the industry. Ultimately, this experience builds a passion for film and equips students with the tools they need for a successful future in the field.
This will include showcasing videos about what is happening in the school, a school news, various "how to" videos for community building, and a creative outlet for students who sometimes need a different option.
Students have felt a lack of community and knowledge of what is happening in the school since Covid. This is one of the many steps our school is taking to provide community and engagement building opportunities.
We are excited to create products that are for us, by us, and that represent us in the community.
