This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"Prepare today for the needs that you will have tomorrow" is the moral of one of my students' favorite fables. I take seriously the role that I have been afforded in making sure that they are ready to meet the challenges that await them once they leave my classroom.

My students are bundles of energy who need to be engaged in meaningful activities at all times.

They are a diverse group with diverse academic needs and abilities. Because our main goal is to have them be college and career ready when they leave our school district, I want to provide as many resources and opportunities as possible to ensure their ultimate success!

My Project

This printer and ink will allow me to print the literacy resources used to enrich learning in my classroom in vivid colors. We are currently without a working printer and my amazing students have to use literacy games and activities that lack color because they are printed using a shared black and white copier. While students use them without complaint it is my wish as their teacher to present resources that they are even more excited to engage with because they are brightly printed! Color makes everything more exciting and I want my students to be excited about everything that they are learning.
