This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our library is the heart of our school. We have chosen these books with our students in mind. Our library has a special section devoted to our younger readers, Story Park. One of the favorite activities of our students' week is coming to the library for story time in our park.
We strive to foster the love of reading in our students by providing them with high quality award-winning books.
Access to these SSYRA Junior books in our library and the ability to listen to literature being read to them will increase our students' love of reading, fluency, and independent reading skills.
