My Students
I am a teacher of a vibrant 3rd grade ICT class. My students are eager to learn and succeed. They all work so hard to do their best in order to thrive. They have large aspirations to be inventive and strive for the best in their work for their future.
My Project
I am a certified S.P.I.R.E. teacher. S.P.I.R.E. is a researched based program which teaches students how to read using multimodal approach. This program reaches the students that did not succeed with traditional learning methods. I already have seen progress with my 3rd students, last year using S.P.I.R.E level 1 and I have learned that I am expected to follow this class into 4th grade next school year. Many of these students have graduated from level one and in order to continue to increase their reading skills in order to access the curriculum and maintain rigor I will require the next level. My students loved working with this program last year and feeling successful. I look forward to enriching them with more skills.
I want to use this program which is designed to build reading success through an intensive, structured, and spiraling curriculum with my students.
