My Students

Pre-K for All is a program within the New York City Department of Education that provides all four-year-olds with full-day quality education. Pre-K for All gives children stronger reading and math skills.

My site is a Pre-K Center exclusively dedicated to Pre-K students.

We are located in Brooklyn and have a diverse population.

We have a center-based learning model. The students learn by engaging in purposeful play while teachers engage the students in meaningful conversations.

In my program, we like to provide lessons that are interactive so the children can learn by doing.

My Project

This has been a school year like no other. I have been working to create the best possible learning experiences for my students who are learning at home.

It is obvious that students are missing standard classroom material at home to make the most of their remote learning experience.

This backpack of essentials has material students can use to remain engaged while off screen. The material will help with literacy, math, and fine motor skills. Math manipulatives and letter cards are materials students need to be able to touch and see. Most importantly it will get them off the screen.
