My Project
I have a golf unit for K-5 students that could really utilize a golf simulator to improve students' golf skills and teach them science concepts of physics (ie. ball speed, ball spin, etc.) so it translates to the students' golf ball hitting skills.
I also have a golf club after school for grades 3-5.
We do a variety of golf skill lessons throughout our club and students would greatly benefit from being able to practice their golf skills during the winter months.
The simulator would allow students to practice and improve their ball striking skills and also teach a variety of science concepts. Students will also be able to play simulated golf courses and learn the etiquette of the wonderful game of golf.
I will use my gym to have golf simulation practice sessions, as well as mini tournaments to improve their competitiveness and sportsmanship taught by the game of golf.
