In Our Gems Club Era: Exploring Animal Sciences Through STEAM

My Project

The GEMS (Girls Excelling in Math and Science) Club at our middle school is focused on empowering young girls in grades 6-8 to explore math, science, and engineering through hands-on, interactive activities. Our theme for this year,

"In Our GEMS Club Era," ties into both popular culture and animal science, allowing us to engage students while fostering a passion for STEM.

We aim to provide activities such as crafting, animal dissection, and engineering challenges.

The GEMS Club meets during the school year, with each meeting structured around different scientific and engineering principles tied to animal sciences. Activities include bracelet-making, holiday ornament crafting , animal-themed dissections, field trips and more. We aim to introduce girls to real-world applications of STEM by fostering a connection between the biological sciences and engineering through fun and approachable projects.

To align with our theme of animal sciences and creativity, we require craft materials and science kits that will immerse students in these subjects. The requested supplies will allow the club to continue inspiring a passion for STEM in an inclusive, supportive environment. We are requesting these necessary materials, which will enhance our project-based learning activities and support student growth in critical STEM fields.
