Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the past few years as a School Social Worker, I have found that I love designing and creating resources to meet my students' individual needs. With supplies like a laminator, paper cutter, and file folders, I will be able to create and organize high-quality resources that I can use over and over again! Some of the resources I plan to make include task cards, games, bingo cards, visuals, and more!

With fun and engaging resources, students work hard to learn new things and apply their new skills!

One of the biggest skills I focus on with my students is Emotion Regulation. Having tools like books and stress balls will help students learn to recognize what they are feeling and use appropriate tools when needed.

Students are also much more likely to be able to self regulate when they feel safe and comfortable. Having things like weighted blankets, soft cushions to sit on, and soft tissues to use will help students feel safety and comfort when they are in my office!
