This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my school are awesome! These students come to school each and every day ready to hit the ground running with their education. They may have struggles but they try their hardest to fight these struggles to become better students.
My school is located in a neighborhood that faces many difficulties on a daily basis.
It is a poverty stricken neighborhood. My school is a Title 1 school and every student receives free lunches daily. Even though the neighborhood isn't the best for these students and their families, they still make it to school each day. The school is most students safe place where they can be themselves and enjoy learning.
My Project
Our classroom is asking for ink for our printer. This ink will be used to print different things for us both in colored ink and black and white. Everything that we work on requires the teacher to print things out and if we had ink it would be easier. The colored ink also makes a lot of our bulletin boards and projects pop with color. The ink needed will also provide the students will colored copies of reading books. These books will be used through out the year in small group, individually, and to take home with us to read.
