Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The school curriculum for pre-k is a very creative curriculum that allows students to learn through play and through exploration. In our classroom there should be 9-10 areas of interest assigned where children can go to explore and learn new things. One of these areas of interest is the "Water and Sand" area.
Unfortunately, in my classroom we don't have sand and the little we had at the beginning of the year has already run out.
That is why I am asking for your help and collaboration to be able to have the sand we need in this area. Having sand in the area will increase students' learning since in the sand they can practice letters, numbers, figures and even write words using letter cutters in a much more fun and entertaining way.
My goal with this project is to be able to open the Water and Sand area again and for my students to feel excited again about going to that area and continue learning through playing with the sand.
My students are energetic children who love to do new things, create things with their hands and participate in manual and hands-on activities. I am sure that the return of sand to our classroom will be a great contribution to the development of the children.
