I am a first year kindergarten teacher. I teach at a low income school. I try to create a positive and loving environment for all of my students. Boy, have I spent hundreds of dollars on the classroom and the children. I can only put out so much money at one time. I am wanting to create a reading and listening center. I am requesting 2-4 "comfy" chairs or beanbag chairs. The reading and listening center will benefit the students because they will be able to sit back, relax and read a book or listen to a story on tape or CD. I also think that the listening and reading center will be a place that the students can go and have "alone" time. I believe that all of the students in my class this year and for many years to come will enjoy the chairs and the bookcase.
